T'Nuchamu

Comfort for Aveilim. A full minyan when it matters most.

Be the person they never needed to wait for — a community platform for Shiva support, minyanim, and lasting chessed.

Our mission

Everybody has the best of intentions when it comes to taking care of Aveilim, but unfortunately, we have a very busy world. Despite the best intentions, people find themselves waiting for a Minyan when they never thought they would.

T'Nuchamu exists so Aveilim are never left waiting alone. We help Jewish communities create and discover Shiva listings, coordinate prayer services (minyanim), bring volunteers together, and offer memorial support — practical help in a time of loss.

When everyone assumes someone else will show up, no one shows up. T'Nuchamu turns good intentions into a clear place to see the need and be there.

Support and comfort Aveilim

Give mourners and families a dignified way to share what they need — visiting times, houses, services, and community care — so people can show up with purpose.

Ensure every shiva home has a full minyan

Organize minyan times, invite volunteers, and keep the community informed so prayer can happen on time, every time it is needed.

How T'Nuchamu works

From listing a Shiva to securing a minyan, the platform guides the community through each step of care.

  1. Create or find a Shiva listing

Families or community members share details about the Niftar, Shiva houses, Aveilim, levaya and kevurah information, and visiting times — so the kehilla knows where and when to come.

  2. Schedule minyanim

Set prayer times for each house across the Shiva period. The community can see what is needed and commit to showing up for Shacharis, Mincha, Maariv, and more.

  3. Volunteers fill the minyan

Neighbors and friends sign up as minyan makers. When a time still needs people, alerts help the community respond before anyone is left waiting.

  4. Stay informed

Email, SMS, WhatsApp, and in-app notifications keep subscribers and nearby community members updated about listings, reminders, and urgent minyan needs — with respect for each person’s preferences.

  5. Offer lasting support

Coordinate meals, share messages of comfort (nichum), and give memorial donations or dedications — extending chessed beyond the week of Shiva.

Core capabilities

Built for the practical needs of Jewish communities during times of loss — clear, coordinated, and communal.

Shiva listings & houses

Publish detailed listings with Niftar information, multiple Shiva house locations, mourner details, visiting hours, and service times so visitors know exactly how to offer nichum.

Minyan scheduling & volunteering

Plan minyanim per house, invite volunteers, and track who is coming. The goal is simple: a full minyan at the times Aveilim need it most.

Community notifications

Stay connected through email, SMS, WhatsApp, and in-app alerts — including daily reminders and urgent calls when a minyan still needs people. You control what you receive.

Food & meal coordination

Share food coordinator contacts, meal-train links, and notes so the community can support the family with meals without confusion or duplication.

Memorial donations & dedications

Donate in memory or honor of someone you love. Dedications and plaques help sustain T'Nuchamu’s work for Klal Yisrael while creating a lasting memorial.

Affiliations & community

Connect through shuls and community affiliations so listings reach the people who can help — locally and worldwide.

Shiva listings API

REST endpoints for creating, discovering, and managing Shiva listings — the core resource families and communities use to share what they need.

Includes session authentication, the full POST /api/shiva-listings body, and related resources. Base URL: https://app.tnuchamu.org/api
